How do I add a list from a file on the TV?
In Whatplay for Android TV, open “Add list” in the side menu and choose “File”. If the TV has a file picker, you choose the file on it. If it doesn’t, like most, Whatplay shows a QR code and an address so you can send it from another device:
- Connect your phone or computer to the same network as the TV.
- Scan the code with the camera or type the address in the browser.
- Choose the list file (.m3u, .m3u8, .w3u…) and it’s added on the TV.
It only works within your home network, and the address stops working when you close the panel, after 10 minutes or once the list is added. Whatplay may ask you for the “Nearby devices” permission. If the list is already in Whatplay on your phone, you can also send it from your phone.
